Announcing Alumni Month at Vernacular!

November 1st, 2009 by Kim

Happy November, folks! Is your head still pounding from last night’s Halloween revelries? We hope so.  Today at Vernacular, we’re celebrating the fact that our clocks are one hour earlier, and that our Alums of the WLP’s grad programs in Publishing and Writing and Creative Writing have found professional, personal, and/or critical success.  Have you ever wondered what an MA or MFA degree from Emerson could lead you to in literary pursuits?  Well, get ready to have those burning questions answered!

This month, we hope to kick off a more devoted approach to the “digital community” side of Vernacular– namely, that it’s a place where we invite all of our past, present, and future grad students to contribute.  So this is our open call to grad alums from the MA and MFA Programs: We invite you to email us at vernacularlit@gmail.com if you would like to a) write a guest post; b) share your events, news of publications, or the like; c) get interviewed about something cool that you’re doing; or d) write us a book review!

We also have some alums who have books out or being published soon, so stay tuned for our alum-themed book reviews as well!  We are showcasing the work of Alums this month in every way– so for all of you Emerson alumni and current grad students alike, we hope you’ll stay in touch with each other via Vernacular.
